The Cost Controller would be required to work collaboratively with various department managers to analyze costs, assess vendor relationships, and maximize profitability, with a deep commitment to the bottom line without compromising quality. You will be accountable for a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

Ensure up-to-date costing all food & beverage items and keep up-to-date records of all Food & Beverage monthly expenses to ensure strict budgeting control

Daily receive from stores, the goods received note and analyze as specified in food & beverage procedures.

Prepare daily food & beverage costs

Make periodical checks on the value of the restaurant food as compared to posted food totals by the cashiers

Maintain an up-to-date list of all cost/ prices, ensure that all the cost/price measures and advice on variations

Assess all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best price

Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs and keep up to date on new vendors and possible cost cutting partnerships

Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost

Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers and understand the entire arc of the business and how productivity impacts profitability

Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures Roll out clear cost-saving programs with timelines and assessment goals Implementing policies, guidelines to establish appropriate cost control practices for the company

Preparation and maintenance of accurate schedules, compliant estimates, budgets for the project, maintain project cost and work, fund management & reporting.
