The Commercial Kitchen Designer is responsible for designing efficient, functional, and brand-compliant commercial kitchen layouts that support high-volume operations across all IFC brands. This includes collaborating with culinary, operations, and project teams to deliver scalable kitchen solutions for new openings, renovations, and relocations.
Design and develop kitchen layouts, equipment schedules, and utility plans based on brand and operational requirements.
Ensure all designs comply with local health and safety regulations, HACCP standards, and food code requirements.
Collaborate with chefs, operations, and facility teams to understand workflows, prep zones, and service areas.
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and equipment suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Create 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD or similar tools and maintain accurate documentation.
Support site visits for layout validation, space measurement, and design feasibility checks.
Source and recommend kitchen equipment based on quality, cost, and operational efficiency.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to design planning, value engineering, and execution timelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in commercial kitchen design (preferably in F&B/QSR sector).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
Strong understanding of kitchen workflows, equipment specifications, and BOH operational needs.
Knowledge of international and local food safety regulations and design codes.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
