We are currently seeking to hire a Facilities Engineer who would manage and supervise the team for maintaining the systems on its F&B retail portfolio. The role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) and Kitchen equipment / systems function efficiently and reliably, adhering to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in MEP & HVAC systems and demonstrated experience in coordinating and monitoring maintenance operations, with a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the FM services team for maintenance to ensure compliance with KPIs and SLAs.
• Possess strong understanding of Preventive, Corrective, Reactive, Predictive and Condition Based Maintenance.
• Analyse and Understand Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for different MEP and HVAC systems.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Manage contracts with service providers to meet agreed timelines and standards.
• Provide technical and administrative support during installation, testing, and commissioning of Facility Management (FM) hard services.
• Review maintenance work to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards, report progress and concerns.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of MEP systems and specialist systems, identifying areas for improvement.
• Track and report maintenance budgets, cost-efficiency initiatives, and energy-saving measures.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure all building systems and kitchen equipment function efficiently and reliably.
• Collaborate with the Property Management and Quality teams on inspections, ensuring service and quality standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Permit to work system and statutory inspections in line with local regulations.
• Oversee the service provider’s adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors for smooth operations of building and kitchen assets.
• Supervise preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure quality and safety.
• Plan, schedule, and review operational activities related to FM hard services.
• Manage staff, vendors, and supplies, while developing and implementing FM strategies, including CAPEX and sustainability initiatives.
• Assess quotes, proposals, and drawings to ensure scope coverage.
• Review completion reports and conduct on-site assessments.
• Manage and supervise renovation and fit-out work to ensure compliance to FM standard requirements.
Job Requirements:
• Certified MEP Engineer or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of CAFM / CMMS system.
• Preferred certifications: CFM, ISO 41001, ISO 22001
• Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in facility management, handling retail / F&B portfolio.
• Project management experience at the corporate level is highly preferred.
• Membership in an International Facilities Management body is desirable.
• Strong skills in budget management, leadership, decision-making, and analytical thinking.
• Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Should have UAE driver’s license.
• Experience in FM Soft Services is advantageous
